Brief
In this renovation project, the focus is primarily on the layout and facade. Essentially, the client wishes to transform an existing single-story building into a two-story structure with adjustments to the layout, lighting and electrical points, as well as the furniture, following an industrial house concept.
The client requires a layout update to accommodate future room plans, including space for the wife and their two children.
The facade concept addresses the client's privacy concerns, as they previously had an open terrace that was too visible from the outside. To address this issue, a secondary skin has been created, which also functions as shading from the afternoon sun. This is achieved using a system of cladding and black metal, giving the house an industrial aesthetic.
